The Best Dressed at The 2015 GRAMMY Awards
JANE FONDA
I have a special place in my heart for seasoned individuals who have a firm grip on their personal style. At 77-years-old Jane Fonda has my vote for Best Dressed at the Grammys. This emerald green Balmain jumpsuit showed the world that she still has it. And she accented it perfectly with that Gold tasseled necklace by Balmain and metallic Jimmy Choo heels. Style is timeless and so is Ms. Fonda.
RITA ORA
The 24-year-old British songstress displayed a style of sophisticated simplicity in here shimmering Prada dress. Style shouldn't always be over the top but always enough to grab your attention. Well done Rita. Well done.
LADY GAGA
When it comes to style Lady Gaga is more known for her avantguard....well the hell with it let's keep it all the way real, her outlandish WTH outfits. We didn't forget about the meat dress. However at the Grammy's this year there is only 1 word to describe Gaga's look...SEXY. She is wearing a Brandon Maxwell Gown and wearing it well. Showing off her figure and her girls in a very "look but don't touch" manner, accented by Lorraine Schwartz jewels.
TAYLOR SWIFT
Taylor Swift, America's Sweetheart hit the Red Carpet in a stunning turquoise gown by Elie Saab. I really appreciate the fit look up top transitioning into a flowing design at the bottom the leaves the proper space to show off her long stunning stems.
ANNA KENDRICK
I love when I see a woman in a nice pant suit. There is something very strong and sexy about it. And Anna Kendrick in this Band of Outsiders suit is just that, strong and sexy. The deep cleavage cut is what makes the design of this suit really pop. The Jimmy Choo heels speak for the entire ensemble and they say "yeah I know, this outfit is mean isn't it?" So fresh and So Clean Ms Kendrick.

January 2015 The C-List Style: Designers in Mens Fashion
PYER MOSS by Kerby Jean-Raymond
Kerby Jean-Raymond is a visionary like most creative beings. However not all visionaries personify this type of cool. Pyer Moss began as a project to reinvent classic athletic gear and uniforms by adding opulent cues and refining the fit. Pyer Moss uses high-end materials, masculine form, unique pattern making, and modern tailoring to create luxury sportswear. The Pyer Moss collection is produced in New York City.
Pyer Moss is also available online. Pyer Moss
BETHUNE BROS. by Joseph Bethune
Ok so you you know that trench coat all of you have been threatening to steal from me? The Olive Green & Navy Blue piece. Yeah that one...well this is the man you designed it. Meet Joseph Bethune. Joseph's line Bethune Bros. takes military designs and adds a style and sophistication fit for the renaissance man. For the man who is out on the town with his boys or his lady friend and that can walk into a jazz lounge or the hottest club in the city, is completely comfortable in his style and presentation. That is a Bethune Man. Bethune Bros. clothing brings to mind a finely hand rolled cigar accompanied by a smooth cognac and a beautiful woman. The stylings of Bethune Bros. can be found online at Bethune Bros.
PUBLIC SCHOOL by Maxwell Osborne & Dao-Yi Chow
If you've ever rode a New York City train, opened up a magazine with your favorite artist on the cover
or you've simply just walked into a trendy bar/lounge and a saw a gentleman in a garment that could only be described as "Fly"...well then there is a good chance he was probably rocking something from Public School. I was fortunate enough to wear some of their designs at an award show I was being honored at about 2 years ago and their designs not just caught the attentions of folks in the crowd, it grabbed their attention. Maxwell & Dao-Yi have captured in their designs what New York City is all about and the name of the line fits the designs perfectly. Unlike those catholic schools who were required to wear a uniform everyday, us public school kids were required to have style. Public School can be found online at Public School
CREEP CLOTHING by Hiroshi Awai
Hiroshi Awai is a Japanese designer based out of Toronto, Canada. I really dig his designs because like myself and the DJ CEO brand, Hiroshi in my opinion, combines two worlds you wouldn't think of working together... the "Lo-Life" style with the hipster look. He marries the two effortlessly. So in it you see hip hop influences as well as that of the Goonies. Two of my favorite pastimes :-). Of course Hiroshi has made it these designs current and fresh. What I enjoy about his pieces is that he isn't afraid of textures or patterns but in a very subtle way. Creep Clothing is available at Creep Clothing
Alan Michael Designs by Michael Humphries
First if I can be honest, Michael is a dear friend of mine with a gift at making the perfectly tailored suit. But he doesn't make the C-List because he's my friend. He makes it because he work is amazing. The first time I was measured for one of his custom made suits was the first time I found out how measurements are really to be taken for a custom garment. Michaels Design taps into the aesthetic of bespoke Saville Row tailoring. His focus is high-end men’s suiting and shirting, and he also offers a line of accessories including ‘made-to-order’ footwear. Alan Michaels Design provides client services including wardrobe development, personal styling and personal shopping. Alan Michael Designs can be found at Alan Michaels Design
